In the age of ordering whatever we want online, in any and every style... it's no wonder a lot of us would rather choose a cheap and cute collar than the "sensible footwear" option of dog collar from a reputable brand. We can have both!

dog, canine, dog walk, dog walker, tri-cities, richland, collar, gear, supplies, pet, harness, fitted, hot, to,fit, loose collar, harm, risk, pet care, professionals, high desert sitter, pet sitting, black dog, lab, brown eyes

I don't have the heart to turn down clients if they have inadequate and unsafe dog walking gear for their pup. Even though it's an extra liability for the business, and safety of the dog and our pet walker. But it does really disappoint, when I'm out walking, to know I'm not saying anything about it to the owners and it's in the best interest for their dog. Often times, it can be hard to know when to say something. We are professionals, but when trying to provide advice or help to people about their fur babies, it can be tough. Loose collars is one of our biggest issues we see. Not only can these falter, and dogs get loose into traffic, or other scenarios, but they lack any real control over the animal, and they can do some serious damage to the canine windpipe. Constant pressure from a loose collar being held under tension when a dog is pulling can create trauma to the dogs windpipe because there is no release.

Loose halters cause under leg rubbing and potential, long-term sores, prone to infection. If you need to replace that risky dog gear with new stuff, head to our fave locally owned pet store! Paws Natural Pet Emporium! Your DOG WILL THANK YOU (And so will your pet sitter.) - The HDS Team
